Ligia Simões Braga Boisserand
Ligia is from Porto Alegre/RS, she started her interest in being a researcher during her Physical therapy degree (at PUCRS). She earned a Master’s degree in Neurosciences from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) and a PhD in Neurosciences/Neurobiology at the Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA) in France. Ligia has worked at Yale as a postdoctoral associate for 3 years and currently works as an Associate Research Scientist at Dr. Sansing’s lab where she studies potential therapies for stroke. Ligia hopes to spread enthusiasm toward studying neurosciences, by supporting and mentoring members in her community.
