João Victor T. Gomes
João is a second-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Pharmacology at Yale University. His research is focused on how insects detect and distinguish sugars to develop new strategies against vector-borne diseases. João completed his undergraduate studies in Pharmacy at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and holds a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the same institution. He wants to learn how to be a good science communicator to better approach the Brazillian community. He looks forward to sharing his experience with all students.
