Rafael Dai Pra da Luz. YPMP Program Coordinator.
Rafael is originally from Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. He is a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate in Physiology at Yale University. In Elena Gracheva laboratory, Rafael studies the neurophysiological mechanisms that control sexual maturation in hibernators. Rafael joined the Iniciativa Proxima team in 2020 as a way to impact the career of other Brazilian students. Currently, Rafael is the Yale-Proxima Mentorship Program Coordinator.
